Proud IWF Member
Today marks an important milestone in our ongoing work to maintain industry-leading compliance and ethical standards. Ping Proxies has officially become a member of the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), strengthening our ability to prevent abuse and protect users across our network.
We will use IWF resources provided by this partnership to improve and expand our automated monitoring and proactive abuse prevention systems. The IWF membership significantly expands these capabilities, giving us access to constantly updated databases of harmful content that we can automatically block.
Every month, billions of requests flow through our network. Each one will now be automatically checked against the IWF database. This real-time screening allows us to instantly block harmful content requests, stopping abuse before it happens.
What is the Internet Watch Foundation?
The Internet Watch Foundation stands as the UK's leading organization in identifying and removing online child sexual abuse content. For over 25 years, they've worked directly with law enforcement, government agencies, and internet companies worldwide.
Through their efforts, the IWF has successfully removed millions of abuse images and videos while providing critical intelligence to authorities globally. Their expertise and resources have made them an essential partner in making the internet safer.
Why did we join the IWF?
The IWF partnership gives us direct access to their intelligence database and blocking capabilities to prevent misuse and protect against harmful content.
This partnership demonstrates our commitment to running an ethical proxy network and working to raise standards across the industry.
Along with this, we will continue to expand our abuse prevention systems and actively seek partnerships with other security organizations.
